Tracy, Alise & Treia
Our Story
Boutique Black was launched on Valentines Day, February 14, 2015 by company directors, Treia and Alise. Treia has an extensive background in fashion styling and customer relations. Alise is a professional photographer, hair and makeup artist and designer. Tracy is an expert in design and marketing. Together, the team has known each other for more than 20 years. We all have a passion for Australian Made small business and quality manufacturing.
In its infancy Boutique Black hand selected designer lingerie and sleepwear pieces from around the globe and built our online store.
In 2018, we began the exciting journey of developing Boutique Black's own Australian brand of silk kimono robes and silk scarves. Months of research went into finding quality silks, an ethical manufacturer based in Australia and working with a leading fashion designer to create the perfect patterns and tailoring.
We have personally formed relationships with the manufacturers and suppliers we use, visited their manufacturing workplaces, met the staff and have ensured we have aligned ethics in the Australian Slow Fashion Movement.
Our unique photographic limited edition prints, photographed and designed by Alise Black, have been transformed into wearable pieces of art. Our silks are lovingly designed by the team at Boutique Black and manufactured to the highest Australian quality standards.
